Don't know where to post this... Laptops in China?

I am going to China next year for a few months and I know that prices there are ridiculously cheap... So I was wondering (as I have been considering switching from a desktop to a laptop) if this remains true in the PC sector. For instance how much would it cost to get a top of the line laptop in china in US dollars? And does china have top of the line laptops sent available to buy as quickly as the US?

One other thing, if I did buy this laptop and an english version of windows XP would I be able to install it and have a fully functioning laptop or am I going to run into those regional settings problems like some dvd's have?

china technology typically costs more than in america. no point going there for savings. besides, chimna gets the newer tech later.(2 years ago, the geforce2 or 3 was chammp there) too bad that 1 gen late in america.

there shouldnt be any regional problems.(maybe a bios flash might be in order though)

costs are aobut 1/3 to 1/4 higher when i went back a year ago.(shanghai/hangzhou and beijing area)

I was there last year and didn't see any great bargains in desktops or laptops.
