I've been trying to find this particular item at Home Depot and Lowes, saw it once but didn't buy it, should have.

It's a flat piece of metal, I've only seen it 1/2" or 1/4" wide, and it has a bunch of holes throughout the strip of metal.

Applications I've seen it in, use in support of a pipe overhead.

Temporary hanging of attic staircase.

What is it called and where may I find it in HD/L.

If it's perf strap watch out which you buy at HD/Lowes as they have some extremely poor quality rolls that are thinner than paper.

Should be in plumbing where the rest of the pipe hangers are. Typically called pipe strapping.
