Don't go to this site

Just so people are aware that site actually did try to install a trojan on my machine.

I normally have ABP, NoScript turned on but have to turn them off while working for various reasons.

Watch out.

No way. Really?

So, you actually made aware of a problem that people never knew existed until you showed it to them; kinda like you telling people don't smell a certain thing that they don't have possession of until you brought it up to their noses and say "Don't smell this"; or take a picture of your private part blow it up, hang it on the wall and tell people "Don't look at it"... while you can simply not do anything and achieve the same result. I see... Hmm... interesting.

The website didn't try to install the trojan but when I clicked one of the links from the site about 15 popups appeared and I knew it was trouble.

My AV software kept complaining about ~.exe running in my system32/ dir and the TR/Pakes.meg virus.

I yanked out my ethernet and spent 3 hours scouring my computer for shading processes. I think I am clean.

You might have gotten lucky this time, but relying on the pullout method isn't a very good idea.
