So Azraele sees This Thread and decides that she too would like to make some donuts...

She does not cook much, so she had me preheat the oil for her, as she did not know how much to add, and then when the oil was quite heated she stood back and played 'ring toss" with the dough... :confused: Her reason is that she did not want to get burned.

That's right folks, a deep frying pan about 1/2 full of boiling oil and she tosses a dougnut shaped piece of dough from about a foot and a half away into it....

Well picture a stove with oil everywhere and hot burners, lots of smoke and two people trying to get the oil up before there is a huge fire and you may just get a slight idea of the hilarity involved...

So from now on, whenever a cooking thread comes up, please, for the sake of my sanity state that there are no Azraele's allowed in the thread...

Perhaps that should be amended to not quite knowing everything. :p

It's not quite as easy when you don't have a gigantic wallyworld fryer do all the work for you. If I'd just had that conveyor belt, it'd have been good.

Should I make her eat the doughnut anyway?

Perhaps a poll on should Az be force fed the burnt doughnut for making the house smell like a grease pit...

Fine I will....

We were living in Texas at the time, and I preheated the oil, as I should, but forgot to check and see if the french fires were coated in ice crystals.... They were. Well, ice crystals and oil do not mix well, so there was this ungodly bubbling noise and a nice flame rising from the burners...

But I put it out, and at least I did not try to put the french fries in the oil by shot-putting them across the room...



<I would edit it to read french fries, but due to the circumstances, they are aptly named>
