I’ve never even cracked a smile at SNL, it and Mad TV and the other shows like it have that "American humor" ness about it. Maybe toonces the driving cat when I was little, maybe.

They need to bring an alum out of retirement. Darrell Hammond is pretty good at impressions. Will Ferrell would be funny. Jason Sudeikis would kill it as well.
If they don’t have that as one of the skits I’ll be disappointed.

With the right makeup Ferrell could pull it off... Hammond, too. Dude is a chameleon...

They could also go down the path of having a woman play Kavanaugh, which they’ve done before just to stick it to Trump a little harder.

Leslie Jones. She does irrational rage perfectly.

I for one am not going to miss it unless breaking news occurs reporting Trump is resigning, Pence gets a stroke and Ryan sees the writing on the wall and lets Pelosi step up and in.

You must be a very depressing person to be around, always concerned and apparently missing a sense of humor.

Funny?
Yeah, I find myself hitting the FF key more often in the last few SNL years.
They do need to purge some of the cast, and hire better writers.
And the opening political skits got very old. Even though Donald Trump is an idiot and easy to make fun of, the SNL opening skits about Trump and Sessions are wearing thin.
Not enough smart comedy, just the same old what you'd expect comedy.

Still, SNL has been in a slump before so maybe a cast update, even during midseason, is warranted.
I mean, I can take to or leave it.
If my DVR fails to record an episode, no real loss.
