Don't expect the search for WMD anytime soon

Be patient. People don't seem to understand the huge arsenals that are being uncoverable across Iraq, most notable in Baghdad itself. Marines and Army teams are noting their location by GPS and leaving huge stockpiles simply because they don't have to manpower, machinery or time to move them. Until Iraq is secured from a military standpoint, the real search for WMD is pretty well side-tracked.

that's a circumvention and b#lls#it answer

it is CRITICAL to have some evidence pointed out to the world right now

if the US was finding so many caches of WMDs, why is it so hard up to actually offer $$$$ for information leading to WMDs? they much be getting desperate

Tim, do you know what it feels like to get shot at with automatic weapons everyday? How would you like to be searching for WMD when you get ambushed and wind up dead?

Let the military do their job, and then let the search begin. As for Special Ops you've mentioned in the past, do you have any idea of what they've been doing in Iraq? You think their sole purpose is to putz around looking for WMD?

But I can see that with your vast knowledge of whats going on in Iraq concerning the military that any of my statements must be complete and utter falacy.

If I give you 12 years to hide a car in your town, with an unlimited budget, to for example, construct whatever you want to hide it, you think I'll be able to find it within the first month?

Thank you. phillyTIM has been so impatient and critical about the weapons search that he's been making himself ill.

He thinks Saddam should have had more than 12 years to provide the proof he agreed he would, proving he destroyed the WMD he ADMITTED HAVING TO THE UN.

Of course the US should be able to find them in less than a month.....

They do have inspections teams in Iraq, they are checking 10-15 sites a day, out of the 2,000 KNOWN ones that they can actually get to right now.

Don't get your panties in a bundle.
The WMD will be found. All of those who irrationally think Saddam destoyed all his weapons will be proven wrong and asked to STFU.
How do you like your crow?

It's funny, all those whining "where are the WMD's" wanted to give inspectors more time, like they didn't have more than enough time already. :Q Yet they demand we should find them while we are still involved in a war and now trying to surpress looting. Then consider the size of Iraq and the many many possible hiding places, along with the fact some were probably moved out of iraq, or even destroyed once they knew we were near. Duh

It is their last hoorah so a spouting they go. Once WMD's are found the WAAC's (whiney anti American children) will either disappear or come up with more bs.

The "We need WMD right now" crowd is just trying to redefine victory. Same with the "Looting must stop right now" and "Not one Iraqi can go hungry or thirsty" statements. They lost the other victory conditions they were trying to impose, so they're moving on to another angle.

Reminds me of the Wizard of OZ, "ignore those thousands of cheering iraqis praising the US and waving American flags, forget about Saddam's 12,000 page report to the UN detailing his WMD programs...." it could go on forever.

About the WMD's,

If US has claimed Iraq has WMD's, and they are sure of it (from intelligence and such),
then why is it that they did not forward such critical intelligence to the UN inspectors?

WRONG: the "we need WMD right now" crowd wants just a shred of that "rock solid evidence" proof to backup the Bush regime's rape of another country for the reason that this whole SHAM was started.

That's not much at all to ask for; especially after practically a MONTH now of occupation. It's time for them to put up evidence or put their tails between their legs and get back on the other side of Iraqi borders.

Get over your "we're on a mission to save everyone, who cares about the reason this war even started" self already.

The WORLD waited 12 years for Saddam to give "ROCK SOLID EVIDENCE" THEY WERE DESTROYED.

How have we "raped" Iraq?

The fact of the matter is you are just anti-Bush, that's all. I bet you almost puked when you heard all those Iraqi's THANKING, CHEERING, and PRAISING Bush. Your bias is getting rather old....

Yes it's obvious you haven't made up your mind and are just waiting on evidence.

The Bush regime's rape of another country? What have we raped them of? Their freedom? BWAHAHAHAHAHA.

The Bush regime has given the Iraqis liberty from Saddam Hussein. Saddam has been raping them for years. We stop the rapist and then get accused of rape. That is rich. :|

With regard to the weapons of mass destruction, what about the ricin residue, the warheads filled with chemical weapons, the chemical suits and syringes filled with antidote, the nuclear scientist we now have... all of that?

You can choose to ignore the facts. That does not mean that they don't exist.

I agree. Its just silly to be wasting so much valuable time two-stepping with all those bullets, rpg's, exploding people and vehicles. We should just ignore them and get on with the important stuff.

This is a very dangerous time, the WMD's (if they exist) aren't secured by anyone. No telling who can and will get their hands on them. If there was a flaw in this war plan, it was not to have the number of troops necessary to start finding and securing WMD's immediately. The troops that are over there have a choice now, take out small pockets of resistance that can kill possibly hundreds, or find and secure these WMD's than can kill tens of thousands. I find it disturbing that concentration right now seems to be more on the former than the latter.

Is everyone who asks "where are the WMDs" a WAAC?

How many US servicemen and women are you willing to give up to satisfy your lust for instant gratification?

Lets see:
Rooting out the resistance that is still shooting.
Securing the populace from lawlessness.
Establishing some semblance of a government.

Do really you think the number one concern right now is finding WMD?

YES, I DO -- since thats what this whole sham of an invasion/assassination attempt has been predicated upon by the Bush regime. In case you don't realize, they are already using great forces to find WMDs along the way, but nothin' has turned up so far after a MONTH. The reasons you list above are b#lls#it circumvention answers; there's just not much of anything to find; Bush should be writing his apology speech.

Can you stop your anti-Bush whining for a second and answer this simple question. What happened to the TONS of nerve agents and THOUSANDS of liters of Anthrax that were detailed in the 12,000 page report SADDAM SUBMITTED TO THE UN?

You can't tell me where they are, AND NEITHER COULD SADDAM, THATS THE WHOLE POINT.

Just vote and STFU when your side loses already, it's getting old.

It should be. The war is to prevent WMDs from falling into the wrong hands. Before the war, at least Saddam kept centralized control on his WMDs. Saddam is no longer in control. Who is keeping tabs on those weapons now? If someone is still guarding them, they are now left to make their own decision....guard them, abandon them, sell them, use them...multiply that by the number of units guarding them and each making its own independent decision on what to do and you have chaos. Not finding them in a timely manner could very well jeopardize the very reason we were started the war to begin with.
