I've been dealing with an issue with PayPal for over two months now. I'm simply trying to remove some former addresses and a couple of credit cards that have long been cancelled. However, when trying to remove them from my profile page at PayPal, I continually receive cryptic error messages informing me that I'm unable to until some "authorization is released."
After numerous calls to PayPal, they finally admit there is a long-standing, known bug with Dell. Evidently, "Dell's system" frequently does not release "authorization information" to PayPal, even after payment has long since cleared and everything is otherwise good. This prevents you from updating anything within your profile with PayPal.
I've spoken with umpteen PayPal CSRs and even their accounting office about the issue, but they say it's the aforementioned long-standing bug with Dell that's causing the problems. Furthermore, they don't know when the bug will be remedied, nor will they contact me when it is, to inform me that I'm freely able to update my profile particulars. :disgust:

1) Dell sucks.
2) PayPal sucks.
