I didn't even look for it when I posted, cause it was just in our small town newspaper on the 14th. I never imagined it would get outside this area.

Anyway, that's beside the point. I honestly want to know what the bleeding hearts around here would expect for punishment of people that steal from you? Anymore, if you don't lock your stuff up well enough, it's almost your fault! What's the deal? Do thieves have some kind of Constitutionally protected right to your stuff!

What kind of penalty would I want? First of all, I'd want to be reimbursed for every nickle they cost me. Second, I want them to do some time. Third I'd want them to cough up money for some kind of victim's fund, for people who get property stolen and never find the perps.

There's something to be said for dating an equestrienne, especially if you have a a repressed penchant for bondage and leather.
The riding technique they call "posting" also comes in quite handy.

Well I think your legends of tough horse girls arent true. Why would they be tough? Its not like they have to fight them. Usually the horses are nice and calm. My sister was a "horse girl" and she doesnt even know what the word tough means.

Maybe your sister just never had to deal with a hot-headed thoroughbred? All the riders I know are the people who do it for life and have done it for life. They are going to college to be riding instructors, jumpers, or show professionally. They work with young, green horses who love to kick, buck, roll and otherwise try and get the best of their rider.


When I say "horse girl" I'm not talking about a girl who took a few western lessons on a half-leased warmblood when she was in 6th grade.
