Don't ever email the CEO of AT&T to complain

CEO contact information isn't exactly public knowledge. Though when it does become public knowledge it becomes a little pointless to respond to all the emails. My own CEO does not have an email address listed in the address book. Everything is done by DNS forwarding.

Does AT&T have any legal grounds to prevent this Giorgio guy from emailing their CEO? Would he have gotten the same threat had he written a snail mail letter?

the kid was stupid. IF you are trying to get something and aren't getting anywhere mailing the CEO is fine. but he went about it the wrong way.

probably not. probably would get the same threat via snail mail though.

AT&T is probably hunting down the employee that gave away the contact info though.

I don't think he was trying to get anything. He was voicing his displeasure and sent his letter to the top. I don't see how this does AT&T any harm.

On the contrary, I think any company would want to know the reasons why their customers are leaving. Hell, Google Chrome has some stupid survey thing when you uninstall asking you why.

I get the feeling he was trying to get a cheaper data plan. wich i suspect if he went about it differently he might have.

The sister of one of my contractors emailed my company's President about getting her changed to full-time status. Well, the email got to my VP and Sr. Director, as well as a HR VP (fortunately I know him well) and another HR Director. I had to do an email as to why she was a contractor and would remain so. Shortly after, I canned her because she (the contractor) decided to take 4 weeks off to go to Cambodia. Stupid bitches.

Wow, $25 a month for 2GB is pretty damn pricey. Data plan prices like those are the main reason I haven't bothered to get a smartphone. I'd like to get one but it seems that all of the carriers rape you pretty hard on the data plan price. Don't really see enough of both sides of this story though to form an opinion one way or the other.

What a bunch of dicks. I won't be going ATT anytime soon. I've emailed CEOs of Advanta and dishnetwork about fucking me over and got it straightened out next day.

Nice attitude - not. I would've tossed his email out regardless of whether he had a point or not. That's the kind of written communication that appears on message boards... entitlement just because. If he wanted to be taken seriously, write a more professional letter - I think this whole 1-click email thing has gotten people a bit lazy.

That was a dick move by ATT.

At the same time, if you use more than 5GB a month, ATT is probably losing money on you.

Over-The-Air (OTA) bandwidth is not CHEAP, people are taking unlimited internet for granted these days but the reality of it is that sending 1MB OTA vs 1MB over a wire is night and day in terms of costs to the carrier.

Building and maintaining RF networks, especially in relatively low density countries like the U.S., is not cheap.
