I'm sorry to say, I've actually recommended this heatsink to a couple of people based solely on it's low price, without having actually used it. I bought one a few months ago, and a few weeks ago when I built my quad-GPU rig based on a K9A2 Platinum AM2+ board, I tried using this heatsink.
I tried, and I tried, but I could not get the clasp to latch properly. I have come to the conclusion that this latch design is broken by design.
Thankfully, I had a stock of AMD 4-heatpipe OEM heatsinks, so I just used one of those, even though I didn't need cooling that powerful. (Just a BE-2400 non-overclocked).
