Sliding patio doors are great to break in to. They are tempered glass so a small piece of ceramic will shatter them in near silence. Plus, it leaves a big opening, free of dangerous glass shards, making it easy to carry the VCR out to the car.

No, not any patio door. Manufactures offer the option but except in hurricane zones few people pay for the safety glass.
