It's worth a shot. I've never heard of that power supply myself and I tend not to like generic off brand power supplies such as this one. Antec, enermax, sparkle, etc. is what you need to stick with.

Where are you pulling the power for fan from? Try to pull from the four wire power connector with an adapter if it's currently setup to pull from motherboard fan headers.

Did you mean Powmax=sh!t really light, really cheap. Always invest in a good power supply. do you have another power supply you could swap with, maybe out of another system?

Could be a Powmax power supply - though the 2 400watt ones I've used from them are working fantastic.
as for how I'm getting power to the fans - I'm using the 3pin to 4pin adapter to draw power directly from the power supply. At 6.5watts I didn't want to risk using the motherboard headers.

I don't have another power supply I can swap out - that's why I was asking if the power supply sounds like the issue. Will probably have to buy another one.
