The DHL/Fedex/UPS <-> USPS crossovers are pretty common for the supercheap free shipping options. "Eggsaver" comes to mind.

And while I've never had issues with USPS actually delivering, their tracking is usually pretty slow to update.

UPS & Fedex have never lost a package or delivered late to for me. USPS has delivered late and mis-delivered packages. One time they delivered a package the next street over but luckily that person was honest and gave it back to me.

It only took 15 days to go from Alaska to Washington. Even with the holidays, they must have walked it across Canada. Also note that this was shipped on the same day as the OP was posted.

why the DHL hate? they are pretty good. I've gotten my international shipments on time from them.
USPS is the problem, they just suck.
