*Final Update*

Newegg issued a full refund of the overnight-NBD shipping cost.

---------------------------------------------------------------

Placed order for substantial amount. Paid for rush order processing. Paid for overnight shipping. This was $34.

Order placed on 12/23 @ 11:15 AM EST.

Billed by Newegg on 12/23 that same afternoon.

Order shipped on 12/24 for overnight-NBD (that's today and I knew this going in) according to Newegg.

No package as of 5:00 PM local time 12/26.

Get on Newegg chat and they say, we're so sorry, let us email FedEx and see what's happening. Ask for shipping refund. They won't provide refund unless there is a delay.

Hello? It's end of business and I have no package on an overnight order. That's delayed.

Waiting on an email from NewEgg. Not holding my breath.

Every order I place with them has problems.

*Update*

Got an email from Newegg in which they assured me the item was absolutely shipped on the 24th for NBD service by 3:00 PM today the 26th. Newegg has done absolutely nothing to figure out where the package is or when I will get it, simply that IF I get it and it's "delayed" to contact them back and then they will help me...

When I spoke with Newegg tonight I wasn't rude or mean at all and I only asked for: 1.) Rush order refund and 2.) Shipping refund. I didn't even ask for a discount and they still turned me away.

That's what bothered me the most. The fact I don't have the package does annoy me but the poor service and indifference from Newegg is why I made this post.

As someone else said. Newegg expects 100% of the money up front for the order. I expect 100% of what I paid for. They will not accept 75% of the money and I will not accept 75% of the product/service.

Why don't you wait until you get an actual answer until you go all HumblePie? ATOT can only deal with one crying child at a time.

You do realize that once it ships, it's out of Newegg's hands, right?

Blame FedEx, and the holiday you perhaps forgot about?

Why exactly should I care what their answer is?

1.) I don't have a package.

2.) They claim there is no delay yet I don't have a package.

3.) They refuse to refund shipping.

4.) I don't have a package.

Not a holiday item, not related but even if it were it doesn't matter.

Of course it's FedEx's problem. But, provide some ACTUAL service. Refund the $30+ shipping charge. Actually CALL FedEx while you have me online and provide live information. It's poor service.

Why should Newegg refund you if it's delayed due to FedEx? They might not have made $30 profit on your order.

I didn't pay FedEx, I paid Newegg. Newegg's profits mean what to me?

Not to mention, I have spent a substantial amount of money with Newegg over the years.

Doesn't FedEx continue shipping until 7PM? I know UPS ships up until that time, including Overnight packages (unless you pay a premium for "Before 11AM" or whatever).

Do you not have a tracking number? I would imagine you would have looked at the tracking status...

i think you are pissed at the wrong business. seems this is a fedex issue not newegg.

they got it shipped pretty fast. as long as they sent it overnight it's not neweggs issue

I'm sure you completely ignored their big disclaimer about holiday shipping and not being able to guarantee delivery on time as well.

No sympathy for someone who orders something 2 days before christmas, which was a Sunday no less, and expects to get it the day after Christmas. If that's what you expect then Newegg is well to be rid of you.

Unrealistic expectations ftl.

Grow some balls and stand up to Fedex. If they won't refund you the $30, then go punch Frederick W. Smith in the dick.

So has everyone else that complains.

It also doesn't matter if you are the only one that bought your item in the past 6 months. The fact is that UPS and FedEx are being hammered with shipments this time of year.

As long as you've been provided a tracking number from newegg there isn't much else they can or should have to do. It'd be nice if they went out of their way but I'm sure they are being inundated with calls. Why not call FedEx yourself?

If you check Fedex' site you'll find that Xmas eve is/was a limited service day. They do deliveries, but most of their sites closed early. Ergo, it makes sense that your package would not be in position for delivery today.

I have no doubt that you were told this in the fine print somewhere, but you'll probably still get a refund if you cry enough.

The order was placed on 12/23 which was not Christmas eve. They charged me that day, Newegg even called me to confirm the order. NBD which I paid for was today, 12/26. Fine print is just a way for people to weasel out of obligations. Everyone knows this.

Did you see that little bulletin up top?

That storm is causing delays. It quite possibly got mixed up in the storm-related delays.

Contact fedex, see if they don't have a better live status of that tracking number and any info on it being delayed.

Unaffected region.

Even better. The shipping info was electronically transmitted to,FedEx at 12:30 on Monday, that doesn't mean it shipped out. They probably didn't even pick it up if the pickups are done once a day. Wouldn't get picked up till today so you'll see it tomorrow. IMO they owe you nothing except maybe a little FAQ on how overnight shipping works. It's called business days. Not Sundays, not holidays, you fail.

LOL. Expecting prompt shipping on something ordered on Christmas Eve.

Right.

edit: pardon me- Sunday before Christmas Eve. As if that makes a difference. I would say they did you a favor by even getting it out before the 26th.

Then don't take people's money and claim you can provide a service you can't.

Unaffected region.

A big storm doesn't have to park itself over your regional hub for it to fuck up your regional shipping.

Also, previous comments regarding limited services on the 24th could very well apply. It may not have been put in transit on the 24th, thus no delivery today.
