Done with D-Link

Well my 2nd D-Link router just took a dump on me. I bought a wired router a few months ago and after a few weeks it died on me, so I RMAed that one back. Now about a month ago I bought a wireless WBR-2310 and it just died on me last night. I'm now done with D-Link. So if anyone could point me to a good wireless router thats not D-Link, it would be appreciated. Thanks.

WRT54GL is pretty solid for me, using third-party firmware. (the official Linksys firmware is blah)

I have the above wireless G Broandband Router from Linksys and I ahve been less thant thrilled with it. I have had to call tech support 4 times and reinstall the router on 3 of those occasions. They have online tech support if you have anothe computer that you an get online with but the wait has been absolutely horrid ranging from 20 minutes to about 2 hrs. I've also done the phone tech support the last time and spent over 35 minutes on hold only to get disconnected.

Thanks guys. I'm leaning twards a Linksys since each time my D-link's have died i've went back to my trusty BEFSR41, I think the things 5 years old. But i'm not ruling out any suggestions so keep'em coming.

Doesn't matter which brand, as long as it's SOHO, you'll run into unfortunates like this once a while.
My DLink DI604 has been up running flawlessly for 3+ years, so it's not DLink as a whole sucks, but their QA process...even if you go w/ Netgear or LinkSys, you'll have the same problem. Buffalo may be a little better, since it's a Japanese brand. They tend to pay more attention to QA...

Why do you think businesses pay thousands of $$ for Cisco, Juniper, etc?

Unfortunately, in this case I have to agree. The SOHO routers pretty much use the same hardware which is why no matter who you ask, most tech oriented people always have a preference to either Linksys, Dlink or netgear. Mine is Dlink and I can't stand netgear equipment and other than when used with 3rd party firmware, I don't like linksys. But I have seen just as many bad linksys routers as I've seen dlink and netgear. Unless you want to pay >$1,000, your going to have bad ones every now and then, you can't get much QA on $50 pieces of equipment.
