Just another reason we'll be seeing the Eagles at the top of the NFC East again.

It's a decent trade for both sides, since I think Parcells can handle Keyshawn and Galloway is more manageable for the Bucs.

Keyshawn's probably a more consistent receiver then Galloway too. Might help the 'Boys, but I don't want to lose Galloway. He's got great speed, and is someone Im very fond of.

We need a running back and a QB for sure though, hopefully Carter can continue to grow though.

It depends on what kind of offense the Boys run after they get a RB (probably Deuce), before deciding if Gallo or KJ would fit in better... in either case, I would take Gallo b/c he doesn't have any baggage.... Where's our fav Cowboy fan from Philly, Deeko? I want to hear what he thinks the cure for "cancer" will be for the Boys lol...

Gallo is pretty much gone by all indications from the newspaper. The only thing needed to be worked out is the restructuring of contracts. I never liked Galloway from the day the Cowboys signed him. He has never put out the numbers. You can blame Carter for a lot of that, true, but Galloway has never been productive. It's so funny - everyone is saying how the Cowboys have the best receiving trio - they obviously have never watched a Cowboys game, nor do they know anything about the Cowboys. The leading receiver on this year's team was: Richie Anderson, fullback. That should speak volumes about our receiving core.

We need a much better QB - no one is going to be happy if Quincy starts next season. No one. Zilch for accuracy. He's the tumor that makes the rest of the team bad. I think even with a new QB we'd still need another season or two before we get all the nuts and bolts together and working properly for a championship team, but as it stands the Cowboys have gone from zero (5-10 seasons) to a playoff team.

This was reported in the Dallas Morning News I think Monday and now it's confirmed that Galloway wouldn't mind heading to TB. Now we just need to sign Deuce and get a new QB.

BTW, I did mention this in the Keyshawn got benched thread a few months back. Most of you laughed :p

I would laugh my ass off if Keyshawn had a record year next season. Not likely but it would shut up the people who hate Keyshawn. Although, it would futher inflate his ego.

Not as far as I know. RB is a definite yes - Hambrick will not be the starter next season. Apparently so with Galloway at WR. They have not made any commitments yet as to the QB situation. Jerry said before the season ended that Quincy's job was secure, although I'm pretty sure Bill doesn't feel the same way. (They can't be that stupid - they know there isn't a fan in Dallas that doesn't want to see a new QB)

Keyshawn's ego pales in comparison to Terrell's :) I could care less about egos as long as it brings results.

I dunno, I think Carter would be ok if he improved even more this year like he did last year. He definetly showed something at times. Just if only he were consistent and didn't make mistakes. Why are you guys so sure we'll be getting deuce? I haven't heard anything about that. As for Galloways numbers, part of thats been due to his injuries. 99 he broke his leg 2000 wasn't much better. But I agree, I think 'Shawn might work out real well.

Jerry Jones has always said peoples jobs were secure. Hes released alot of people whos "jobs were secure". And Dallas expressed interest in Mark Brunell this past week, though the Redskins will likely get him.

IMHO Hutch and Carter will be gone before training camp. Romo will be retained as the backup. I hope they dont try and draft a QB. They seriously need to go after a veteran QB.

Dallas will get one of the free agent running backs, its yet to be determined, but Philly is unlikely to re sign Deuce, and he is high on Dallas' list. Last season Dallas' also expressed interested in Rudi Johnson, but I think the Bungles have him locked up and arent willing to trade. The Dallas Morning News made an error in the report Dallas wanted Dillon.

Yup, the buzz in Philly is that Deuce will sign with Dallas, most likely...

Anyone that has more than, say, 50% accuracy would do better than Carter :) I like Warner but the newspaper did an analysis where they say he's too prone to injury/not real mobile and he's getting old(er). Griese was with Denver right?

So is Jay Fiedler. Dallas should trade with the Texans for Drew Henson. He's gonna be the shiz.

No, I heard Fiedler is staying in Miami... He will backup AJ Feeley.

Griese was with the Dolphins, used to start for Denver...

What about Vinny Testaverde? He refuses to be third string on the Jets and would rather retire instead of get cut b/c of the salary cap. He says that now, it's "not about the money anymore". He clearly wants to play and win, I think Dallas would be a good fit for him... :)

EDIT: VINNY REUNITED WITH TUNA!! Hell, I'm not even a Dallas fan but I think that would be exciting to watch!
Flashback to 1998!

Coach and general manager Bill Parcells said the 34-year-old Testaverde will be given a shot at being the starter... "This is an organization dedicated to winning with a head coach who knows to do it," Testaverde said in explaining his decision to sign with the Jets. He said as a free agent, he turned down an offer that was for "a million dollars more" because "this is not about money. It's about winning."

Holy crap, more flashbacks from 1998 with Keyshawn, Vinny, and Parcells!
The fact that Cox and Testaverde want to win every bit as badly as their coach has made them Parcells guys every bit as much as Curtis Martin, Pepper Johnson, Jumbo Elliott and Byars.

Parcells wasn?t supposed to get along with Keyshawn Johnson, either.

But Johnson is enjoying a breakout season with 53 catches for 755 yards and eight touchdowns.

The chosen one has finally become the promised one, with Johnson playing the way the Jets hoped when they selected the tantalizing 6-foot-3, 212-pound receiver first overall in the 1996 draft out of USC.

Parcells has given Johnson the technique and polish he lacked.

"Bill Parcells helped solidify my security," Johnson said. "He told me he?s had guys like me before. He saw talent wasted before, and he didn?t want it to happen with me. He?s been a father figure to me."

It may not seem like it, but Parcells, Johnson, Cox and Testaverde do have something in common.

They all want to win.
It seems Testaverde has found the right coach and the right team at the right time in his 12th NFL season after washouts with Tampa Bay and Cleveland/Baltimore.

"It?s like a pair of jeans," Testaverde said. "Some fit you better than others."
Last but not least.
It was in Parcells' system, after all, that Testaverde had his best pro season (3,256 passing yards, 29 TD passes), in 1998. It became obvious after he was injured in the first game of '99 that Testaverde was an irreplaceable part of the Jets' offense.

"I wish I would've had the opportunity earlier in my career (to play under Parcells)," Testaverde said. "I think it would've taken a course more toward where it's going now."
