Donations to charity walks...??

Anyone here ever donate to such causes?

I have a co-worker who is doing her first Breast Cancer 3-day walk in October and is having difficulties in getting donations.

I've already donated, but wondered if others just blow off these requests or if some of you also donate?

We actually have 3 people walking in two different breast cancer walks soon - 1 in Seattle (who is a veteran of a handful of walks), and 2 in San Diego (1 return walker and a brand new walker).
