Donation solicitation for Hurricane Katrina

In this time of tragedy, it's time for all Americans to show their love for their fellow man by breaking out the checkbook. It's the least we can do. Please consider making a donation to the American Red Cross or the relief organization of your choice.

This isn't about politics, or geography, or race, creed or color - it's about human decency.

American Red Cross

Bump...this really needs to be stickied.

Everyone please donate...$5-$10-$20+ anything you may have...

Every litte bit helps.

But remember your local charities still need money to help people in your own state.

Whenever a disaster like this hits, many people donate as much as they can to Red Cross and they end up with more money than they can use, while people stop supporting local chariities because they are broke.

The radio station I listen to collected over $60,000 in donations today, so I'll be sending a check off to Northwest Harvest (Washington state food bank supplier) instead.
