Bone marrow is the contents inside a bone. Plasma is similar to donating blood as someone has mentioned. Plasma, the watery portion of whole blood, is composed of 90 percent water and 10 percent enzymes, hormones, salts, sugars, amino acids and some dissolved gases. Because water is the main component, the body needs only 24 to 48 hours to easily replace both the plasma and its proteins, which is why people may donate up to twice a week.

I suggest you read this to clear up any of the other urban legends floating around in your head :p

Plus, you will be $40 richer. ;)

Back a long time ago, in a place far, far away, I did this. It was no big deal. The only thing that might cause any discomfort, for 1/1000th of a second, is when they prick your finger to sample your blood and insertion of the actual extraction needle.

i can't believe how weak some people are when it comes to giving blood, i know people who can't stand to watch it happen. i dunno, i get a kick out of watching the vacuum tubes fill up.

Well, I donate plasma twice a week, and its easy. The first time you get a physical and you go through a bunch of drug tests.(They usually don't test for weed). Then you go donate which takes about 45 minutes. But do yourself a favor and drink ALOT of water before hand. If your body is low on water, the blood comes out like sludge and it can become painful. Its kind of cool watching the plasma drip out when it has been seperated.
