Has anyone else done this?
Yesterday, after having long hair for 5+ years, I had it cut short and donated at least 11" worth of hair to Locks of Love. It's weird having short hair again, but it certainly brings a smile to my face, knowing that a kid with alopecia areata will be able to benefit from it.
So maybe, instead of spending $30+ on getting your long hair styled, you might want to consider doing this... Hair grows back anyway, and you'll be able to help someone in the process. 🙂
I know a majority of ATOT posters are men/boys, but I'm sure you guys can spread the word to your loved ones, or SO's and try to get them to consider this. Here're a list of salons that participate: http://db.locksoflove.org/salonlist.php
Have a great weekend! 🙂
