Not sure why this became LA but its San Francisco. (Not that the same shit probably doesn't go on in LA as well.)

Not the least bit surprising.

Capitalism at its finest...

This ain't capitalism this is one of those many occasions of unintended consequences for who have a bleeding heart but are without a brain to go along with it. The same sort behavior is seen when others use government to be the bleeding heart without a brain when they hand out other people's tax dollars but fail to understand how someone else may try to abuse the system to make being poor comfortable.

You are profoundly poor but you are very very comfortable with it. It's the result of a talent called a conservative brain defect.

You lack coherent thought due to lack of sleep and are afraid to face scary things. It's the result of a talent called a liberal brain defect

Whatever the program, there will be people to take advantage of it. This is why I prefer charities help the poor instead of government, because if government is being cheated I am being forced to pay the price, but if a charity is being cheated then I am optionally being cheated. In this case it's a church being cheated, we aren't forced to give money to a church.

If they can sell it, they will. Throwing it away is really bad. Why wouldn't they just return what they don't want to the church? Why throw it away? They are right there at the church and they throw good food away? Creeps.

Open a kitchen instead and serve meals. They won't be able to sell those for cash to buy alcohol or other drugs.

Don't see the problem as long as those donating food items are made aware of what's going on.

Donate and let the receivers do as they please, don't like what the receivers do?, then don't donate.

What I have a problem with is the donators being deceived about what they are getting involved in in order to keep them or get them to "donate".

Every time I drive by the Goodwill I see Cadillacs and Lincolns parked out front. I stopped donating to them a year ago.

So, people with nice cars shouldn't help the poor by shopping at Goodwill?

I donate to the NEEDY, not the WANTY. The wanty can pay real money at a proper store. Goodwill sells dirt cheap stuff so poor people can get by in life.
If you can get a luxury SUV you dont need 1 dollar clothes.

Another leftist ignoramus. This isn't Capitalism at all.

It's capitalism at its finest...obtain goods at the lowest possible cost...sell for a profit.
Doesn't matter where the goods are sourced...or if they're completely legally obtained...just as long as they can be sold.

And your first post in this thread is an insult. Don't you keep posting about how resorting to personal attacks means you've already lost the argument?

Always.

Here's an example he just posted on a current thread:

"Why is it when I post in a thread you come in and always use a personal attack? This thread and many others you have done this.

And you already lost when you resorted to insults."

This is not capitalism. I don't think you even understand the basic premise of capitalism or its principals. Then again if this is capitalism then we can all safely agree that Venezuela and Cuba, and post free-market reforms China and Vietnam are/were socialism at its finest hour.
