WaPo's Farenthold has an article up on how Trump's charitable foundation lacks NY state certification that allows it to raise money as a charity.

Donald Trump’s charitable foundation — which has been sustained for years by donors outside the Trump family — has never obtained the certification that New York requires before charities can solicit money from the public, according to the state attorney general’s office.

Under the laws in New York, where the Donald J. Trump Foundation is based, any charity that solicits more than $25,000 a year from the public must obtain a special kind of registration beforehand. Charities as large as Trump’s must also submit to a rigorous annual audit that asks — among other things — whether the charity spent any money for the personal benefit of its officers.

If New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman (D) finds that Trump’s foundation raised money in violation of the law, he could order the charity to stop raising money immediately. With a court’s permission, Schneiderman could also force Trump to return money that his foundation has already raised.

The Trump campaign did not respond to a request for comment Thursday.

The more I hear about it the more I think Trump's foundation is more like a personal tax evasion/money laundering scheme than a charitable foundation. The list of organizations that say Trump has not given money to them ought to raise lots of questions since he claims to have done so. I bet the thought of a state audit of his charity will have Trump howling (even louder).

My money is on the organizations telling the truth and Trump lying...

Only if it's Trump being deported, the method used is a cannon and someone accidentally bumps it just as if fires, launching him into the sun.

What's interesting is that because he didn't register as a charity he was able to avoid legally obligated audits that might have caught the other illegal things he was doing with his charity's money. This might be the result of incompetence on his part but it also very well could be purposeful.
