The Internet is pretty hard to lock down in general. Frankly, if it happened, it'd just mean the acceleration of the U.S. turning into a global backwater as the rest of us stayed networked. The real worry to me is the possible death of Net Neutrality.

Yes, the article is old, and no, he probably can't do anything like what he suggests. But everyone should be concerned about this attitude:

Somebody will say, 'Oh freedom of speech, freedom of speech.' These are foolish people. We have a lot of foolish people."

Trump seems to have about the same attitude toward free speech as he does toward the free press.
