By keeping the pressure on and appealing to a higher order of ethics. Presenting candidates that chip away at his coalition and give you enough votes to impeach him, and if that fails, relentless pressure to corner him in.

The resistance initially had a great playbook that was working amazingly well. The women’s march. Relentless protests outside of Trump Tower. Voter registration drives. Well written articles and editorials in major newspapers that intelligently kept the pressure on. Trump year one, the response and mobilization was impressive.

Then it sort of lost its focus.

And yet, Trump survived and continues to shape the narrative.

I don't believe the current strategy is working. At all.

The democratic leads for the midterms are slipping away. Trump says whatever he wants and pays no consequences, and not one democrat even has the balls to call him a liar - not once but repeatedly. It's pathetic.

Kathy Griffin wrote a very interesting Twitter thread the other day. Remember when she held up the severed Trump head and was subsequently "blackballed"?

Turns out, the venues she was performing at didn't cancel her shows because of public protest or because they objected to the photos. They canceled her shows because after the President and first family tweeted about it, the venues started getting all kinds of harassment from chuds and pepes, including bomb threats.

But yeah, the real threat to fee speech in this country is white nationalists not having a loud enough microphone. Fuck all these people, fuck anyone that ever bitches about free speech and doesn't criticize this shit first.
