Thing is, like the article states, other teams have started just as hot. We were singing this same song and dance with the colts at 13-0. Yes, the patriots seem dominant (except against good teams) but the colts were just as dominant back a few years ago (and they still are). Lets not get ahead of ourselves. The Pats still have tough games against Pitt, Giants, even the Ravens COULD give the problems. Yes, 9 times out of 10 those teams lose. But its a 16 game season and last I checked 16>10. When the Pats are 14-0 then we can start talking.

The Ravens? They're terrible. That'll be a 45-3 type game. The Giants can't hang with them either (Eli should be good for 3 or 4 picks in that game). Pittsburgh is really the only team with a legitimate shot to beat the Pats at this point, but they'll need to play a perfect game and have the Pats play a little sloppy again.

I hate the giants, but come on man. That team has an explosive offense, at times. More importantly, they have a solid defense. Something the colts showed CAN shut down the Pats with. Ravens, big D. Same thing. All it takes is a fews big plays. Just ask teh Cowboys/Bills. Teams that shouldn't have a chance can make a few things happen and all of a sudden its a game. One OT gets beat by Lewis on a blitz, Brady gets blindsided, ball pops out and Reed returns it for a TD. Or a fumble by Maroney, or a tipped pass at the line. Whatever, point being things happen. Patriots seem amazing this year, but I think teh Colts exposed them a bit. Other strong defenses could def. put a hurting on them.

Yeah the CIA got to him (KKKONSPIRACY!) Yeah that must be it... or maybe he thought about it for a while. Almost nobody agrees with his original statement. Or you could remove your head from beong burried shoulder deep up your ass and realize he never stated that they should have an annotation placed on the season as evidenced by a lack of any quotes stating as such and at best he did not disagree with the opinion of some that there should be some sort of annotation on the season. Since the 2008 NFL draft will only have 31 selections in the first round, to a degree there has already been a historical note placed on the season anyway.

I'm not saying "Phokus has scheduled gender change surgery", I'm just not disagreeing with it. Besides, I doubt you'll even find that direct of a statement from him as the most I've heard him actually say or directly quoted on was along the lines of "it's up to the people to form their opinions and for the NFL to rule on, there was a fine made and a draft pick taken from them".


I hope the point spread is a good 20 when they play; with the way the dolphins and rams have been going we need every help we can get to lock in a top pick.
