Don Quixote

It's completely amazing to me that a book written so long ago is still published, let alone commonly read. It was first published in 1605. Sixteen-oh-effing-five! Far older than the United States. Even older than Dick Clark.

Another trivia item: Robinson Crusoe (one of my favorite books) was published in 1719. That's pretty old, too.

One more: The oldest continually operating company in the world is the firearms maker Beretta. Beretta has been selling guns since 1526, and currently supplies the the M9 pistol to the United States military. 490 years old.
