“2010 will be our 50th year in the business, and we are kicking it off with the most aggressive promotion in the history of our company,” said Domino’s Chairman and CEO David A. Brandon. “This is the biggest product introduction we’ve done since…well, pizza.”

The primary changes include:

· Crust - A garlic seasoned crust with parsley baked to a golden brown.

· Sauce - Sweeter, bolder tomato sauce with a medley of herbs and a red pepper kick.

· Cheese - Shredded cheese made with 100% real mozzarella and flavored with just a hint of provolone.

And for those old enough to remember...

When I worked Dominos many years back the first 3 ingredients in their sauce were water, tomato paste, and a salt. Maybe they will make it taste better?
At PapaJohns they use crushed tomatoes and the spices are added at the store. Taste much better IMO, but many are used to the paste flavor of fake/frozen pizzas so many think PJ’s is to “sweet”.

I don't know how they could possibly make their pizza any good. I don't think they know how either.

Domino's pizza is adequate. With a large 1 topping and cinnastix ringing out at $6, I say it's a darn good deal. A large cheese from the place I really like is $12.

You know when I see Papa John's advertise "real cheese" it always makes me wonder what the other guys use then?

But then I probably don't actually want to know. :(

Cellulose cheese or processed cheese. You can tell cellulose cheese because it melts and solidifies more "plastic like" compared to real cheese.

I like their steak pizza. It's not godlike or anything... but it's enjoyable. Maybe we just have a good chain by my house.

Dominos is disgusting pizza. Low grade paste on shitty bread and sub quality cheese.

Anyone remember their old 90's era twisty garlic bread and actual marinara sauce? Those were the days!

I had a BBQ Chicken pizza during the Panthers game on Sunday... the crust was better IMO. Don't know about the sauce since obviously a BBQ chicken pizza doesn't have normal pizza sauce on it... ;)

the dominos by me is fuggin disgusting. I'd rather eat tomato soup on a piece of cardboard. Its not even cheap. its more expensive than most places. An upgrade in quality is def needed.
Their sauce to sweet as it is already.

For those wondering what the old recipe was:

Original recipe:

- Crust: Circle of cardboard cut from the finest boxes fished out of local dumpsters and briefly dunked in flour.

- Sauce: Hobo vomits up spoiled tomatoes which are then sprinkled with rat turds.

- Cheese: White industrial plastic is brought to a boil before mixing in curdled pigs milk.

On topic, we actually used to order the thin crust pizzas (BBQ chicken was a usual order) from there once in a while and they were very good. Not the best pizza I have eaten by a long shot, but pretty darn tasty.
