I'm looking for a super low cost domain registration place that has no weird requirements.

I want to register a few names, and even at $10, someone like namecheap is a bit much for now, as I want to do a few, and build actual pages later.

I see some at $2-$4 .. Anyone very bad or very good?
Seems pretty basic..

This is one thing you don't want to skimp on. Stick with namecheap.

I go with domainit.com. About 9 bucks, though depends on extension.

Kinda funny since I just got a letter in the mail from domain registry of Canada wanting me to switch over my domains to them, for 40 bucks a year. Suuuuuuuure.

Just consider that it's per year. 10 bucks is basically a lunch at Mcdonalds or other fast food joint. Heck it wont even buy a case of beer. So really domains are pretty cheap when you start comparing them to stuff you spend money on regularly.

All the good registrars are ~$9-$10. I have used FX Domains, GoDaddy, and Yahoo, and haven't had any problems with any of the 3 over past 5 years.

What he said.

GoDaddy used to be king. Then it was Namecheap. Trust me, this is something people will swear by for their whole lives. It's like Newegg. Sure soem places might be $1 cheaper, but people just keep shopping at Newegg over and over again.

Namecheap hides your info unlike GoDaddy.

I've used Namecheap to handle the 2 or 3 domains I've owned over the years, and I wouldn't use anyone else.
