OK I have offered to assist a small company with setting up their domain.
They are currently using just a standard DSL connection, router, 2k3 server for printing and file sharing, with about 10 XP machines.
The server is not currently setup as a domain, and they want one registered and implemented.
I know I need to register one first, I was thinking registerfly.com or godaddy, but after that I just want to make sure that is all I need to do before I create the DC, DNS, etc on the 2k3 box.
The clients are currently utilizing internet email from their DSL provider, and since they are wanting to make use of their new domain I am assuming I will need to set up a light exchange on the server as well. I have my own personal webspace, and this other question probably belongs in the apps section but I just want to know if what I have listed above is the correct assumptions, and also what else may be required to push forward with this implementation, especially with the domain and the exchange portion.
Thanks!
