Domain Naming scheme?

I'm going to try locally selling people their own domain names with e-mail accounts and some webspace with a gallery script for photos. ($5/month)

One thing I can't decide is how the families will choose a domain name. Their last names would probably be taken already.

Say their last name is johnson, what all should I reccomend for domain names?

johnsonfamily.us
johnsonfamily.info

Speaking of local web hosting. I just raised my domain registration prices from $14.95/yr to $19.95/yr.

Why?

1) Because I can.
2) It's a PITA if they register a domain through me, I'd rather they use NameCheap or GoDaddy.
