I've recently ordered my own domain name which i wish to point to my webserver. So I called up the company from which I ordered the domain name, and they said that I can't just give them my IP address and have the domain point to the server. They said that i'd have to use my own DNS servers and somehow have those servers have a file telling about my server. I asked him how to do this, and what he meant, and he couldn't explain. Can anyone help to clarify this, or to tell me what i'd ultimately have to do?
I only bought the domain name, no space, from the company.
Thanks.
