Domain Name Registration Question

I want to register a domain name, which will be hosted with 1and1 (the free hosting mentioned in HD). Should I register with them for $5.99/yr or with godaddy, which is $8.95? Would there be any problems if i registered with 1and1? What other alternatives do you guys reccomend?

Personally I would spend the extra $3 and register your domain with godaddy.com or namecheap.com

Godaddy is a known quantity. I've used them for name registration for years and lots of names, complicated changes, etc and never had a problem.

1and1 MIGHT be just fine. For me it was worth the extra few bucks for peace of mind, but it's up to you.
