I had purchased a domain for 1 year and it's about to expire. What do I do to re-register the domain name? Thanks.
 
Most registrars will send you an email invoice shortly before it is time to pay the renewal fee. If you never updated the email on file with them well.....

List your domain name if you aren't sure who the contact is.
 
Don't let it expire. Hopefully, you "renew" your registration. Log into your account at your Domain Name Registrar's web site and select "Renew my Domain Name Registration".
