There as a thread about this a while ago but it seems to have expired. After all the talk about the cheap DNS registration services (www.easyhosting.com is $15, CDN about $10 US and the cheapest I've found) there was some talk about services that would host your domain for free and allow redirection services, subdomains and email direction.

Can't remember any of them - hopefully someone will.

There are alot of them out there, not sure which is the best though.
You should do another search on the subject, as there was definitely a thread about this within the last week.

Doh! I'm sorry, I thought you were talkin about site hosting, not domain registration. I doubt you'll find free domain reg. anywhere, but there was also a thread about domain names just recently... check it out, it might help you.

Problem with netzero is that they then own your domain name. If you chose something brilliant its their! You're better off paying the $10 or so to register the name and get ownership of it.

There are free hosting services out there - I just can't recall them. There was a thread about 3 months ago. <sigh>
