Domain name help

So after trying to buy an existing domain name for the last 3 month, i think im going to give my search up and start something that im interested in and can have fun doing.

I want to start a site that researches condos/vacation homes for people looking to buy.

I know other sites exist, but i have used some recently with my parents and they really arent that spectacular.....and the results were very biased. (the would only send listings for certain brokers)

I just want some help thinking of a domain name. I dont want to have a domain like condoresearch.com because that would give the impression that its only condos.

Any suggetions?

In any case, what about using an acronym. Something like "cvhsearch". Then on the main page you can explain it's Condo and Vacation Home Search.

i like that idea.

Yea i didnt want to limit myself to just condos. I want to do vacation "houses" as well. I guess i could put timeshares in there too......ok so its going to be a wide spectrum of properties.

Now what domain says all that? lol

I am slowly delving into the real estate hosting business.

Charging clients 0.50% of the purchase price to host the property in a portal with stats, 12 pictures, contact info, video, etc.

Entity is really good at this, I would suggest sending him a PM.

got a PM in to entity.

Can you tell me how much traffic a site must get so you can charge half a percent of the purchase price? Cause in NY .5% is around $1500 a house.

I just want an idea how much i have to build the site to get a fee of that amount. Also do you know of any scripts out there that do what you say? or admin panel sites?

Thanks rossman

I'm not really the best person to ask since I am new to the real estate industry. Entity on the other hand is a wealth of knowledge and a great person 🙂

Initially I am using a real estate CMS portal with some minor tweaks. After I learn a little coding, I'll be able to do a lot more.

I think if the site is professional in appearance and you're using a quality web host, you can charge whatever is reasonable for the niche market. It's important to network with other professionals in the industry, get your name and web site URL out there.

is the script you use the one that costs $119?

mind if i PM you about the scripts and where you're learning the coding?

I'm using a slightly modified script right now, that's all I can really say.

Again I am a beginner at this (both in terms of real estate and coding), so PM'ing me would do no good.

Maybe after I learned a thing or two I can charge for my consultation services 😉
