domain name grabbers

Do these things work. I have a name I want to register but someone else has it. It shows that it will expire on the 11th of this month. I went thru the snap-name on network solutions and it said I couldn't use them since the name was already back ordered. I take that as someone has already signed up to swipe that name. Will using another service help?

Yeah I heard that too. I also heard some people even after 30 days couldn't still get them since the registar didn't release the name.

My old domain, calimages.com, got sniped like that. At 12:01 am the day it expired it was reassigned to someone else. :|
