LONDON (AP) - Dolly the sheep, the world's first mammal cloned from an adult, was euthanized after being diagnosed with progressive lung disease, her creators said Friday.

yeah, but you're guaranteed to have someone come out with debilitating genetic diseases with cloning.

Dolly's body has been promised to the National Museum of Scotland and will eventually be put on display in Edinburgh, the Roslin Institute said.

She wasn't *that* old.
"The real issue is what Dolly died from, and whether it was linked to premature ageing. She was not old by sheep standards to have been put down," human cloning expert Dr. Patrick Dixon told the UK Press Association.
