Dolby digital saluotion needed

[FONT=&quot]here is the thing which i cant get it right with my surround sound.

My Set-up go like this.:. how do i connect my pc to my dvd to get surround sound effects.

I have...[/FONT]

  • [FONT=&quot]42" lcd sony bravia tv full hd 1080p with HDMI connector[/FONT]

  • [FONT=&quot]Sony 5.1ch DVD Home Theatre System[/FONT][FONT=&quot] Model:[/FONT][FONT=&quot]DAV-TZ215[/FONT]

  • [FONT=&quot]msi motherboard 785gm-e51[/FONT]

its go like this.....
My motherboard is connected to my tv with HDMI cable. from wich i can get audio video both. on my tv.

And my t.v is connected to my [/FONT][FONT=&quot]Sony 5.1ch DVD Home Theatre System with a cable stereo to RCA [/FONT][FONT=&quot]

ok ...

when i on all 3 system (My pc, dvd player N My T.v ) n connected to each other i get sound on my home theater system . sound go through my tv to dvd from my stereo to RCA on my dvd..

but the thing is when ever i watch 5.1 encoded movies on my pc i dont get the surround system effects on my speakers...

I want to know is there any other way to get this work with or any other hardware convertor to ....... get the effect from my Pc to dvd...
if i miss something then plz rectify... as if i have explain my setup....

help with this ....... some expert advice needed ...

The only way to get surround sound from a hdmi source is to use a hdmi capable receiver, meaning a receiver with HDMI inputs. The RCA out on your television can only carry 2 channel stereo. If you're home theater system has Dolby Prologic II or DTS Neo:6 modes you might be able to get synthetic surround sound from a 2 channel source.
