Don't think so--and I didn't read the linked article but it seems to claim "an impeached president loses their pardoning power," which doesn't suggest anything related to their impeachment, just broad pardon power overall, because they were impeached.

I don't think this could be correct.

Reading the article is kind of critical in order to understand why such a statement may have warrant.

Trump is going to let Stone off:

I think he wants to ensure that there is never a debate as to who had the most corrupt administration in US history. He always has to "win" every contest, right?

I hope this further effs up his re-election chances.

It seems pretty clear that Stone was trying to get his report date pushed back until after the election so Trump could pardon him without taking a political hit. Part of me is surprised that Trump would do that now considering how far he’s down and how self defeating it is as nobody likes Roger Stone, not even conservatives.

I wonder if Roger has threatened to spill the beans on Trump if he goes to prison but really the most likely answer is probably that Trump’s ego is hurt by the fact that he’s losing and so he wants to lash out.

Stone might have to do a little time. You know, just until after the election. I'm sure Trump has promised him a pardon. He just didn't say when. Stone can't turn rat so long as the possibility exists, if he would at all. He'd look great in orange.

Nah, I think its simply it'll be a huge news distraction from the biological warfare that Turmp is perpetrating against the American people with his maliciously poor handling of COVID crisis.

Silver lining is he is gonna fuck Barr when he does it :

They better not resign. We need those people to make Barr have to fire them en masse.

Just more fuel for the funeral pyre of the Trump presidency. Then we'll turn back to the pandemic going hog fucking wild across the Sun Belt. It'll be like Bambi vs Godzilla.

Nope, not really. But Trump is not the sort to leave anything to chance. He wants to make sure he pads his lead as against any and all future administrations. And I have to say, this is one area where he's truly done a fine job. He just never gets tried of "winning" does he?

Once again, Trump defiles Lady Justice, like she was an ex wife who sent him to the wrong hair specialist.

It’s being reported that Barr actually counseled against this, telling Trump there would be “mutiny”!at DoJ, possible mass resignations. But Stone may have threatened to flip on Trump if he had to serve a single day in jail. Makes sense as otherwise you’d think Trump would have waited until after the election.

I hope there really is a mutiny at DoJ.

What other stuff will come out from Jilian Assange case? Bound to be other stuff that will land on Stone still.
