doing xp-sp1a slipstream... not working

after i extract the sp1a files, i try to to the integrated install and I get this error message:

Integrated install failed. The language type or platform for the destination directory and Service Pack 1 must be the same.

Whats going on?

I followed the same instructions and it worked great. Re-installing Windows XP was really starting to become a nightmare with all the downloads to make it current

It makes a XP install CD with SP1 installed on the XP CD(slipstream).

I can't wait for SP2 to come out. Can one slipstream SP2 onto an image that has SP1 slipstreamed onto it already? Or would I have to find my original CD and slipstream it with SP2?

Presumably there will be a version of SP2 that will include SP1 so this should be entirely possible.

Does anyone know if you can slipstream individual service packs? Thanks! 🙂

Latest service packs always include previous service packs so you will just need to slipstream SP2 onto an original WinXP disc.

All right, I found my original disk last night so no problem there. Now, does anyone know when the SP2 is coming out? I've heard no scuttlebutt about it.
