Doing something I abhor and so out of character....I'm so ashamed.

I'm at work on Saturday. :(

I do everything possible to avoid this. But here I am stuck at work on a beautiful Saturday morning.

Well at least I can surf a bit while my reports run.

I hope no one else is working and just here surfing for fun.

And thank God the elections are only a few days away I'm so sick of paid political ads everywhere I could scream. Maybe I will.

Ah, New and Improved Fathom! Should I break out Isla2 (I do have one!) and join you? I just may. ;)

I am just cruising here for a minute before my day really gets underway...

Hope you have a good one, well, as good as it can be. :)

Ah, besides the usual housework, we have a family gathering to attend...

My big sister is down from New York, so I'll enjoy spending some time w/her.

:)

Have a good day, Frosty and Santa!

Fathom: You thought of me yesterday when I had to move, so today I will be thinking of poor you stuck at work. Can I get you anything to make your day a little easier? Just say the word, and I will make sure it reaches you by quitting time. ;)

Fathom - just a problem with the card not being detected. I'm gonna swap it out with another one. I'm sure I'll be able to sort it, but if not, expect to see a post in the networking forum in the next day or so :)

Have you tried moving it to a different slot or swapping slots with another device? Be sure it's in a busmastering slot.

Good luck.

It's an ISA card, and my mobo only has the one ISA slot. It's odd, it's detecting it, installing the drivers, but when I go into device manager there's an exclamation mark next to the card. No IRQ conflicts or anything...it just says it doesn't work. It's weird, because I've set up the network on the same PC's with the same cards numerous times before. I've just reformatted, went to set it up again and this...hmmn, I'm going to try another one, and possibly take out my sound card and TV-card and then try setting the network up. I think I did the network before the TV-card last time, so perhaps that has something to do with it.

Thanks

Snow I hate it when a re-format screws everything up like that. You are probably on to the solution by setting up the network first. It may just be a case of needing to install the NIC drivers first. It's frustrating to have it install properly and then show an error. Have you tried to update the driver throught the device manager? Just a thought.

GF Hehehe, Santa know who's been naughty and nice, but I'll never tell.

Yep, tried all that. Thanks for the suggestion though. I'm going to sort it later, fingers crossed :)
