Hey is there a form of pushups that will mainly work on your chest and back muscles?

Diamond pushups.. (put both hands touching together, centering at your chest.. the index and the thumb make a diamond shape)

they're good for you.. when people first start, they can barely do 10..

for me, I've been doing them so much that I can do more than regular pushups (which my friends think it's fuct up cuz it's supposed to be harder)

how many? 30 sets x 5 = 150

Diamond pushups work more of your triceps, he wanted to work chest so he should put his hands further apart.

Try elevating your feet by putting them on a chair or some other object about 16 inches high. This will force more of your body weight towards your upper body giving you greater resistance. Push ups mostly work on your chest and arms and slightly on your lower back, asuming that you are using proper form, I don't know that any modifications will greatly enhance your workout for your back.

do 1 -minute pushups. Not pushups for one minute, but where each pushup takes one minute to complete. Your entire body will be shaking by the time you'v e done 2 of them. They work everything, even your abs.

try these pushups:

a) To concentrate on the back, you want your hands at an even level with your shoulders but placed farther apart (6+ inches).

b) To concentrate on the chest, positon hands beneathe shoulders with fingers pointing towards eachother.

c) To concentrate on the triceps, position your hands directly below your shoulders. When lowering yourself, focus on making your elbows bend towards your
feet and not out to the side.

*to make it intense: when you lower yourself two inches above the ground.......hold the position for ten seconds
