Doing my part for the TeAm, what are you doing?

I just upgraded my main rig from an XP1600+ to an XP2000+. :)

Then I dropped the XP1600+ into the ECS K7SEM that Evadman sold me for $35. :):)

Then I dropped the TBird 1Ghz that was in the ECS board into an MSI K7T-Pro2A board that I had lying around. :):):)

I also recently assimilated two machines at work, one an XP1800+ and the other a P4 2.0Ghz. :):):):)

All told, I've added more than 4 Ghz of new processing power to the TeAm. :Q:Q

Every extra bit of CPU power counts right now!!

We need more...more...more...

Hmmm.....?

Added 1.8GHz P4 last week.

Replaced capacitors on socket 370 board this week and have it up and running...but used CPU from another board. Ordered (yesterday) Celeron 1000 to replace it with so a new Celeron 1000 will be up by weeks end.

At home, about 3 weeks ago added 2 XP1600 Systems (DDR) to my first Crunch Rack (more to follow :D)!

Have, with help from my Federation TeAmmates, taken the Federation from around 45 per day to closer to 100 per day! :)

More to follow! :D

Click me to see the Federation's progress! :)

Well, I joined on 9/4 with a Tbird 1ghz. The same day I added a duron 600@800 and a Celeron 400.

On 9/5 I ordered a 1600+ XP, and installed it the following tuesday.

Last week I set up my P133 (not a big difference, but every little bit helps).

A couple of days ago I overclocked the duron to 903 :D

And now i'm in the process of getting the funds together to give the 1ghz tbird a new home.

1 more WU for the 100 WU Milestone :D:D:D WOOT

I traded something for a XP 1800+ and bought a K7S5A. The system is all put together (did that last night), but it won't recognise my USB mouse. It finds my USB keyboard just fine. Anyone know how to redo your mouse config in Mandrake Linux? I really don't know the keyboard shortcuts in the GUI, so I had to drop into the CLi just to shutdown the system!

Thanks,
Swan

Well, when PFDs arrive in October, I am looking to upgrade my 1.4 T-Bird to a duallie XP. Not sure what I will do with the T-Bird yet. The multiplier is unlocked, so maybe I will get an overclock-friendly mobo for it and set it to run SETI@Home in a dedicated manner. :)

Well, I've just ordered components for a new P4 533MHz variety. :)

I didn't do this for the TeAm, I did this for ME!

/of course, it's going to put out around 15 - 16 Seti WUs @ day while I do my "important stuff"....... :p

/so my current primary computer (OCed 1900+ XP @ 2100+ XP speed) is going to have nothing to do but look for ET full time.

I assimilated my bro's new Dell P4 2.4 Ghz 533Mhz FSB yesterday. I don't know how long he'll let me keep it on my as long as it is crunching wu's. Every bit helps.

Now I'm working on my other bro's XP1700+. Hope he won't figure it out. I'll let him find out the hard way. heheh. :D

They make P4s in 533 MHz?

533 fsb :p

I just installed one instance of eccp on a dual pIII last night (dont know the speed) so it is using one of the CPUs...
will get another instance running next time I go over there....

this guy has three other dual pIIIs there, and he just built a dual amd mp 1800....and he has a couple of other machines....
I am gonna work on getting it installed... little tricky cause he is my best friend's ex-girlfriend's dad :p
every time I see him, I am closer on getting it all installed :p

I got The Wildnet running again. And it looks like the drives will be tracked more closely, so I may get more cycles. :)

LyNx01, to overclock a P133 requires the right kind of MB. First I'd suggest lowering the multiplier to 1.5 and trying an FSB of 75MHz or 83MHz, if you can. If that works, try raising the multiplier again. There's also a chance you could bump the multipler to 2.5 or 3, with the right board.

Note that all of this has to be done with jumpers or DIP switches.

I added another APC 1100VA Back Ups Pro to my herd to keep them crunching even when the lights go out.

1 - 1500VA - Cyberpower
2 - 1100VA - APC
2 - 650VA - APC
1 - 625VA - Belkin
1 - 600VA - APC
1 - 500VA - APC

They make a really anoying song when the power goes out! :p

I'll check into that and let you know. It's an old gateway computer so I have to find the manual for the motherboard

If i can. Thanks.

Ken_g6, thanks for the info, I am going to look for the manual for the motherboard today and maybe I will give it a try.

Let's see.......

1. Assimilated (4) P4 1.6s
2. Upgraded my XP 1700+ to an XP1600+ (@1817)
3. Upgraded my 1.2 T-bird to an XP1800+
4. Just bought a mobo for the left over 1.2 T-bird which will be replacing a stock Celery 600

All that has gotten me about 30 wu/day above my old average (as all those racers who have been lasso'd by the Sheriff well know ;) )
