Doing Las Vegas on the cheap

if you get a chance to read a book called "777 cheap eats in las vegas," do it. It has somewhat of a good guide of cheap eats in las vegas. Not really a review thing, but more of a list.

get there and win, then it wont really cost you anything.

BINGO! Best advice evar!

OTOH, if you don't go to Vegas, you're GUARANTEED not to loose.

Yes... I went out there about a year or two ago. Fly in midweek, I flew Detroit to Vegas direct for like $100 round trip on Spirit Airlines. Get a good deal on a rental car for however long you are going to stay. Rent for unlimited miles locally! I did this, and drove from vegas to the grand canyon, then to LA and back to vegas (for some insanely cheap ammount).

If it is your first time in vegas, you definitly want to stay on the strip, great deals can be found mid week on rooms in the big casinos. I had 2 rooms in the Luxor for $50 ea/night.

Also, don't gamble. there is plenty of stuff to spend your money on besides betting. If that is your thing tho, bring a set ammount just for gambling (lets say $200) go in with the expectation of losing all of it, and coming out $200 poorer. When you expect to lose it all, if you only loose $100, thats $100 that you could go spend on something else (a show, a hooker, a wedding?). Just don't spend more than the limit you set for yourself on gambling.

Thanks!

I'm leaving tomorrow and coming back on Weds.

I'm staying at the Tuscany for an average price of $54/night. I'll be renting a car from Enterprise for $82.
