My brother just IM'ed me with this:
hey man,,,made it back,,found a lost dog and walked it home, it hada # to call and they were home, didn't know that she was missing,,,extra couple of miles,,,felt good, both the walk and the taking her home

Do you do this sort of thing? Have you been burned or spurned for doing a good deed?

Yes. Found an escaped snake and returned it to the owner, got accused of letting it out in the first place. :roll: The fact that she was a ditz and had let it escape before apparently didn't enter into her brain.

Depends on the tempermant and size of of the dog.

If it was a rabid rotweiler...probably not.
 
I return dogs all the time in the area I live. I'm right near the river, where everyone walks their dogs in the evenings. Invariably, when they escape they come down to play in the river. I should really just set up a dog-sitting business!

or some kind of canine underground railroad to get those unhappy escapee mutts out of town.
