Dear Equifax (and other) network administrators:

Any network administrator (and for that matter, anyone who uses any computer or any other electronic communications device) who is not smart enough to update their devices on at least a DAILY basis (not a bad idea to check for updates on EVERY boot, if it is not a server device), needs to be damn well FIRED and banned from ever using any type of electronic device again. IMO, updates should be done as a dedicated task and not left for some automated process.

Boy, this is the price for this bunch of lazy idiots (not say this applies to every person) who are about to inherit this world, who were never taken to the woodshed but instead said to "you poor little thing, you better take a TIMEOUT".

VERY FEW PEOPLE TAKE ANY PRIDE IN WHAT THEY ARE DOING THESE DAYS, JUST WORKING (???) FOR PAYDAY, ie. close enough for government work attitude.

This is partly the reason that MS wants to force push updates.

However, this could be disaster in a corporate environment. Way too many factors can play havoc with live systems.
Of course this does not mean that IT admins should ignore CVEs, it just is they have to test much harder in a test environment, or in other words, being a IT admin isn't exactly easy.
