I am doing a survey for my American democracy class and I need to know if you guys think that high school students should have the right to give feedback about their teachers to the school at the end of the school year. Basically, students can evaluate their teachers and the school must take their feedbacks seriously.
If you guys have been to school lately, you'd know that there are many irresponsible and lazy teachers out there. Also there are teachers who don't know what they are doing and give out random grades or unfair grades. Those teachers get away with it year after year and after year.
It's the students who can truly see which are good teachers and which aren't.
However, there are problems to that. One, will teachers get the pressure and instead of teaching their way, they try to please the students by giving less work or being less strict, knowing that their jobs may be on the line? Also, will students evaluate seriously?
Should students have this right or not?
When you guys answer, can you guys put down your age, male or female, ethnicity, and of course, yes or no.
Appreciate you guys helping.
