*sigh* you got caught. pay the ticket.

He has every right to fight it, but the odds of him being successful are pretty slim.

115 would get you arrested here.

Really? Arrested? :Q Whatfor? Like, public endangerment or something?

I'm just curious, never heard of that before.

Here in NH, I was pulled over for 105 in a 65. The officer had the right to arrest me, take my license and tow the car right there. He let me leave with a court date since I was cooperative though. I went to court and had to make a deal with the prosecutor. I got a fine of $500, and lost my license for 20 days. If I had fought it, I could have gotten nailed with a $1000 fine and lost my license for 6 months. I guess Texas is just lenient when it comes to non-death penalty cases...:p

just luck its only $250 and not a night in jail. And pray to god your insurance doesn't go up too high. I think around here (chicagoland area) going that fast will cause you to loose your licesicnes(sp?)

Eh, I suppose you could fight it. I just a ticket for 50 in a 25 Wednesday, paid it yesterday. I could have fought it, but didn't feel like putting forth the effort. No points on my license so I really don't care.

Thats why he should fight it, he has nothing to lose. Sometimes the judge will go easy on you and reduce the fine. Always dispute moving violations, you really don't have anything to lose, and you never know. The cop might not show up and the case is thrown out. Again, I don't know how his state deals with things like that though...

I thought it was a parody at first, but then he started defending it more. Then I wasn't sure. I also couldn't locate the pertinent thread he was parodying.

Well, the speed is outrageous, and there have always been lots of good "help me get out of my speeding ticket" threads around to make fun of... most of them try to say stuff like "The officer didn't write XXXX" or "he wrote xxxx instead of xxx, can I argue?", even though they admitted speeding.

It just sounds too outrageous for me to believe he is serious :p

Edit: Plus, Wink has been around long enough to know better anyway :p

I'm serious about the ticket. I'm not serious about contesting it. I know my car is teal. But I thought I would ask anyway :).
