go to court. In NY, they almost always plea down to a lesser charge (less points, but usually = fine). Never, ever plead guilty.

116 in a 70 in New York equals instant suspension. In NY, if you are 40 MPH or more over the speed limit, thats enough points on your license to get it suspended, to get a hefty fine, and arrested.

I don't think the total suspension happens until double plus over.
6 points isn't enough to get your license pulled, 8 is.

I just finished my drivers ed course. More than 40 over the speed limit is 11 points, and if you receive 11 or more points in a period of 18 months, your license is suspended.
