doh..lost my glasses...where to get a new pair quick?

Damn bars...I've almost lost these things so many times but it finally happened last night.

anyways..I need to get a new pair asap because my drivers license says I have to wear them.

So i'm guessing I can just call up my eye doctor where I originally got them and ask for the subscription? and then take that anywhere I want to go ?

Anyone ever been to lenscrafters? walmart? I want a place with lots of frames and that can get me the glasses the same day.

Heres a cheap fix

Get 2 glass coke bottles and a metal hanger, glass cutter, cutting pliers and last but not least duct tape you can never have enough duct tape.

I've been to lenscrafters twice, they'll have em ready in an hour.

Well you can go to lenscrafters or pearl's one hour shop. They have a nice selection. All you need is the rx, but they like it to be less than a year old.

You won't be getting out of there cheap though.

One other thing, check todays paper. They often have coupons in the Sunday editions.

i only go to lenscrafters around here. The lenses at the other places suck, and no one has selection (altho, i'm still very hard pressed to find something i like at lenscrafters). Of course, this is just around me...

as for contacts.. don't need em for being nearsighted.. i get sick trying to read or use the computer w/ my glasses

I get mine at lenscrafters. You get them within an hour.

They have a good selection but the service isn't top notch.

just got back from looking at frames....didn't have my prescription so i couldn't order...but service was very good...two cute young ladies helped me pick some good frames for like an hour...
